We RVers are prone to the difficult economy and lackluster recovery just like everyone else, and watching our outflow is just as important as our income if we want to stay above water. One method for cutting expenses is to plan ahead on non-emergency medical and dental care.
Many RVers have found that they can achieve considerable savings over conventional care by visiting Algodones, Mexico, the “dental capital of the world.” The town is known for its dental care, but also for medical care, prescription drugs, and eyeglasses at low prices.
In California, Take the Algodones exit from I-8, a few miles west of Yuma, Arizona, and park in the large lot at the border. Walk across (photo) and you are in town. Don’t forget your passport.
