If you’ve struggled to find places to put away the bags of groceries after the weekly trip to the supermarket, or had to throw out fresh veggies or fruit that didn’t get eaten, consider an alternate plan.
When you’re traveling, look for farmers markets, roadside stands, and U-pick farms and orchards—you can do a local search on the internet--and buy only enough to last for two or three days. Save their locations on your GPS so you can find them the next time through.
Your purchases will be fresher, taste better, reduce the amount of storage space you need, and you will have to throw out less uneaten food.
