If you enjoy watching wildlife but haven’t gotten into birdwatching yet, try following one of the state birding trails.
Most states now have official birding trails--visitor centers will provide maps and bird lists--where you can take a driving tour from site to site, and where viewing decks or enclosures enable you to better see the local and migrating birds.
Even if birding does not especially get your juices flowing, the sites along the trail will also have wildlife, scenic views, and a lot of mother nature to enjoy—maybe even a hike or two through the natural habitat.
