If you plan on boondocking in one of the BLM's Long Term Visitor Areas this winter, be especially sensitive to others when you set up camp. Park far enough away from other RVers so that your running generator won't disturb their peace and quiet. If other RVers are frequently running their generators, then it probably won't matter if you add to the noise: so just go ahead and fire 'er up. Of course, you'll need to put up with their generator noise at times when yours is silent.
