Leaving your hot water on all the time wastes propane. Instead, turn your water heater on 10 to 15 minutes before you need hot water.
Scheduling washing dishes and taking showers in the same block of time will save even more.
The hot water in the tank will stay hot to warm for most of the day giving you warm enough water for washing, and other cleaning chores.
And you--and your neighbors--won't have to listen to your water heater turning on and off all night.
